Javier H. Armengau was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 14, 1962. He came to the
United States of America in 1964 and was raised outside of
New York City. Mr. Armengau currently resides in Columbus, Ohio. He is bi-lingual, speaking Spanish fluently. As a trial attorney, he has obtained acquittals
(Not Guilty Verdicts) for clients who were wrongfully accused in cases involving charges of Aggravated Murder, Arson, Assault, Aggravated Arson, Murder without Specifications, Aggravated Burglary, Tampering with Evidence, Abduction, Possession of Drugs, Kidnapping, Burglary, Attempted Murder, Robbery, Drug Trafficking, Felony Domestic Violence, DUI, Felonious Assault, Rape, and a multitude of others.
Mr. Armengau is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Columbus Bar Association. He is also Death Penalty Certified as lead trial counsel.
Mr. Armengau is also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court (Federal) for the Northern District of Ohio (Toledo) as well as the Southern District (Columbus). He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and he has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court.
